The content of this website and the Kysana app is for informational purposes only and to support your health journey. It has been created with the greatest possible care but does not claim to be complete or up-to-date.
The information, nutrition plans, and counseling provided through Kysana do not replace diagnosis, advice, or treatment by a physician, psychiatrist, or other licensed healthcare professionals. In particular: our services are a supplement to, not a substitute for, conventional medical treatment. If you have existing conditions, you should consult your treating physician before starting a ketogenic diet. Medications should never be discontinued or reduced without consulting your doctor.
The ketogenic diet is a scientifically based approach that may show positive effects for certain conditions. However, it is not suitable for everyone.
A ketogenic diet should not be undertaken without medical supervision in cases of: pregnancy and breastfeeding, type 1 diabetes, severe liver or kidney disease, history of eating disorders, certain metabolic disorders, or use of certain medications (e.g., SGLT2 inhibitors).
Especially in the initial phase, the following may occur: fatigue, headaches, nausea (so-called “keto flu”), digestive issues, muscle cramps, or electrolyte imbalances. For persistent or severe symptoms, please contact your doctor immediately.
Kysana is specifically designed for people with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, or bipolar disorder. We expressly note: metabolic psychiatry is an emerging field of research. The evidence is promising but still limited. Individual results may vary. Our services are not a substitute for psychiatric emergency care.
If you have suicidal thoughts or are experiencing an acute mental health crisis, please contact immediately: Emergency services: 144, Die Dargebotene Hand (crisis hotline): 143, or your nearest psychiatric emergency room.
Testimonials and reviews published on our website reflect the individual experiences of specific users. They are not a guarantee of particular results. Each person responds differently to dietary changes and treatments.
Kysana is based on scientific findings from institutions such as Stanford University, Harvard University, and the University of Basel. We strive to keep our recommendations current with the latest research. However, science is constantly evolving, and previous findings may be revised by new studies.

Kysana and Dinnova AG are not liable for damages arising from: improper application of our recommendations, disregard of medical advice, independent changes to medications without medical consultation, force majeure or technical disruptions, or actions of third parties.
You are responsible for your own health decisions. We recommend: having a medical examination before starting a ketogenic diet, attending regular check-ups, consulting a doctor immediately if you feel unwell or experience deterioration, and providing honest and complete information about your health status.
